Dr. Michael Connor was born in Orlando, FL and grew up in Tampa. After graduating with honors from the University of Miami, he went on to graduate at the top of his medical school class at the University of Florida. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine and an ophthalmology residency at the University of Florida, where he was resident of the year and inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society—the highest award given at the University of Florida.
Following residency, Dr. Connor moved to Austin, TX to complete a prestigious two-year fellowship in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery with the largest ophthalmic plastic surgery practice in the country—Texas Oculoplastic Consultants. While there he performed over 1,200 surgeries. During that time, he also trained at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX, focusing on periocular cancers and reconstructive surgery following cancer removal.
Among numerous procedures, Dr. Connor’s professional interests include upper blepharoplasty, lower eyelid surgery, brow lift, and midface surgery, as well as reconstructive surgery following cancer, trauma, and previous cosmetic surgery. He and his family returned to Florida in July 2011. In 2016, he was voted by patients as one of the Top Docs in South Florida.
Dr. Connor is married to a pediatrician, Dr. Jeanmarie Connor, who grew up in Jupiter, FL. Together they have created the world’s first 3-step scar treatment system—Scarology—which is now in over 52 countries around the world. He and his wife have four children.
